Keyed entry door levers are commonly used on exterior doors and garage doors, and can also be paired with deadbolts for added security. Privacy sets are typically used on bathroom and bedroom doors, locked by turning a button on the inside and unlocked in case of emergency from the outside using a flat object. Passage sets are commonly used on closet doors, bedrooms, and other doors where you want the door to latch but not lock. Dummy levers are used on interior doors where a push/pull function is required, such as a pantry, and do not require any door preparation.

The latch bolt can be locked by a thumb turn button on the inside knob, and the key can be used from the outside to open the lever lock when it's locked.
